Welcome to the 2010 spring/summer soccer season with Golden Valley Phoenix Soccer!

Practices will start the week of May 10th times will vary. Games will begin the first full week of June. STARTING TIMES will range from 5:00-7:30pm and will run for one hour. Players are required to wear shin guards and soccer socks over the shin guards for both practices and games. Soccer cleats are suggested but not required. Practice/game nights for each age level are as follows:

  • U6 play Mondays & Wednesdays (Lillian Seeman Park – Golden Valley)
  • Girls U8 and U10 play Mondays & Wednesdays (Field TBD)
  • Boys U8 and U10 play Tuesdays & Thursdays (Field TBD)

You will receive a practice/game schedule via e-mail around the May 1st kick-off date.

Player developmental clinics ARE INCLUDED in your player’s soccer registration fee and will focus on development and fun. These clinics will be hosted by our Coaching Director, Juan Carlos. Please see "Important Dates" below.

 

IMPORTANT DATES

Saturday, June 5th          

Phoenix Jamboree - Lions Park, Golden Valley. Team pictures will be taken & each recreational team will participate in "mini" games. There will be food, T-shirts/sweatshirts to purchase, a raffle with great prizes, along with other goodies and fun for the whole family. A picture and game schedule to follow.

Saturday, TBD           

Player Developmental Clinics (Lions Park-Golden Valley, see player PLAYER DEVELOPMENT CLINIC times above) Please wear shin guards and bring appropriate size ball.

June TBD                  

Phoenix Summer Soccer Camp – 9:30-12:00, Lions Park in Golden Valley. Please visit our website at www.gvphoenixsoccer.org for a registration form.

Sunday, July 25th             

End of season family picnic/potluck! 5:00pm BROOKVIEW PARK in Golden Valley
