U17C2 Girls (Red Hot Chili Peppers) Take First at Blaine Breakout Tourney 2007
The Red Hot Chili Peppers U17C2 team began its tournament season with a championship trophy at the Blaine Breakout Tournament May 5-6. Playing in windy and rainy conditions, the Chili Peppers held their opponents to only two goals scored in four games. Saturday, the Chili Peppers tied Wings Fusion 0-0 and defeated the Centennial Cougars 3-1. Sunday, they recorded a 2-1 victory over the PSA Shooting Stars which led to the championship game where they defeated the Wings Capitals 1-0.
