U11C2 Girls (Las Rojas Jalapinas) won 1st place in a shoot out competition 2007

Emily Pirkl, Carrie Hepp, Maddie Schoonover, Maggie O'Neil, Kelsie Ostdiek, Andrea Saavedra, and Amy Ashling earned the right to represent the team by winning a within team shootout competition the week prior to the tournament. In the shoot-out competition, the Los Rojas Jalapinas defeated Mahtomedi 4-1 in the first contest and then knocked out Lakeview 5-3 in the second.

Kelsie Ostdiek made the decisive kick in the championship round leading her team to a 3-2 win over Owatonna. Carrie Hepp did an outstanding job in goal in all three contests, giving up just 6 goals in 21 tries.

The Phoenix scored 12 on 21 tries with all seven girls contribuing. Andrea Saavedra led the way making 3 of 3 goals.

The Los Rojas Jalapinas also took 2nd place in the tournament. They lost to a strong Lakeview team in the first game, 3-0. The team then went on to defeat Centennial 3-0 and Owatonna 4-0.
