U16C2 Phoenix Red Hot Chili Peppers Girls Soccer Team Win 2006
The Golden Valley Phoenix Red Hot Chili Peppers U16C2 girls soccer team won first place at the Cottage Grove Running with the Wolves Tournament May 12-14, 2006. The team played four games with no goals allowed! The championship game with Maple Grove went into overtime, and the Chili Peppers emerged victorious in a 3-2 shoot-out. Goal keeper Colleen Mans (pictured in a save) played the entire tournament making numerous diving saves. The Chili Peppers are coached by Dick Carlson, Wally Palm, and Jen Murphy. Players included: Michelle Palm, Emily Svensson, Mikaya Larson, Lindsey Kane, Erin Manoles, Brittany Patil, Jessica Patil, Frannie, Marie Carlson, Elizabeth Schoff, Colleen Mans, Katie Hatlestad, Jackie Kalin, Krista Maehling, Maren Hokenson, Rachel, Jenny Sinchi, Maria Sinchi, and Jessy Tumini.
